About Me

I started playing violin when i was 7, but it was not my 1st or last instrument. When I was 4, I begged my father to let me play the mandolin, and, finally, he gave in. Thanks to my mother, I was able to play the violin. I think the inspiration came from that vision she had of an angel telling her that I would be the world's greatest violinist. The "angel"'s prophecy would eventually come to pass. My father was not the nicest person in the world, but he at least let me play music. As my talent grew, so did the dollar signs in his eyes. He eventually quit working (but not gambling or drinking), to make me practice as much as my frail body would allow. When I was 11, I got my 1st gig, and from then on, I traveled. Not only did I travel to perform, but in search of a teacher to take me to new and greater heights as a violinist. My teachers weren't always the most supportive of my new and brilliant ideas. They thought I should be more "traditional". On my journeys, I ran into Rudolph Kreutzer who said to me that I was on the right track. That meant a lot to me, though it was more of a passing few words. Anyway, to make a long story short, I became what the angel had promised. I'm sure that if you are my fan, you know much of the rest of my story. Being the world's first rockstar did have it's advantages. Not only did I get to work in the court of Napoleon's sister, but I met an enchanting lady that taught me the wonders of the guitar. Yes, I'm also a "guitar god". I wrote many pieces for guitar, actually. It's a very romantic instrument don't you think? Despite the fact that I earned more money than any other instrumentalist, and had many, many successses, My greatest joy lies in my son, Achille. Though he came from a devil of a woman, (I think the devil would have been more preferable!)he is the one person that stood by me through everything that he could. I love him. Thank you Achille! For those of you who are wondering, no, I didn't sell my soul to the devil (OR did I? ;) ) I guess you will never know unless you talk to the devil himself (No, not Anton La Vey). Before my ramblings get longer, I bid you adeiu!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Beethoven. I've always loved his music and artistry. Also, a man whose musical complexities inspired my own who knows who he is!..
