Born in Cerritos Ca Abel grew up around music, from listening to what his family would listen to, to his teenage years, were house partys with moble DJ's were a common thing, Abel started djing himself in December 199? the eight grade, doing local house partys during that Christmas season.
All though high school abel continued to dj (parties, local events and always kept current be mainstrem or underground) at the same time he hung out with others dancers(bboys and housers like vfm, or bam tribe) and MC's learning how to do both. in 1997 through his friends DJ Improv and Flip Child, Abel visited foundations funkollective events ultimately hooking up with the organization, were he learned leadership skills by helping with the weekly events they had at the time which included open mic/ bboy practices and events (open mic open mind, PHAZE II). This would lead to abels' first taste of the bboy scene.
Before he knew it abel was Djing 3 Foundation practices 3 days out of the week for a year straight. Through the practices, Abel had a good footing in the b-boy scene at first Djing for the LA Breakers' Floor Wars event to Djing the Freestyle Session when it first came to LA and every year (in LA) after that including the recent 10 year anniversary. When Abel and then group the Fakshuns hooked up with promoter/Bboy Utmos that's when Abel became a household name for Dj's in the b-boy scene here in the 562, doing events like "Were the side walk ends"
From events Abel hooked up with C-los, Gabereal and IcyIce at Stacksvinyl.com were Abel did floor duty at the store and interviewing for some instores ( Boot Camp Click, Beatnuts, Redman ,Hieroglyphics crew, Dilated Peoples, Defari, Pigeon John, Little Brother, Jeru the Damja, Large Professor) for 4 years and did some RAP Shows in LA
