I grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota. I was playing in some clubs like The Blues Saloon and Whiskey Junction while I wasn't even old enough to be in these places. I attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts after graduating from high school and quickly realized my talent was nothing compared to what I seen there. I hooked up with some guys called "Menfolk" and we played mostly progressive/alternative (1986 definition) music all around New England. After moving back to the Twin Cities I met most of the musicians from the local blues scene while visiting all the blues jams around the town. It was a great time for local music back then. (twenty years ago) A guy could go out any night of the week, and see any kind of music he was into. I was fortunate enough to have played with some great people from there like Wilbur Cole, Willie Walker, Cornbread Harris, R.J. Mischo, Steve Vondarharr, Johnny O, Inside Straight, The Soulmates, Blue Oasis, The Bound Band, Curtis Blake, Dave "Biscuit" Miller, Big Walter Smith, Big John Dickerson, and so many more talented musicians. I moved to Florida in 1997 with my guitar playing friend "Rocks" and we picked up a bass player and continued to push on. We put out our CD Rocks and the Revelators-Direct Hit in 2000. I also hit the local blues jams in Tampa/St. Pete and met as many blues musicians as I could. While in Florida I played with James Peterson, Dean Germain, Jimmy Griswald, Benny Soldano, The Tom Kats, Tina and the Whiteboyz, and many more. I also met my wife Cindy there and we had our son Spencer in 2001. In 2004 I moved to a small town in Indiana just minutes north of Louisville, Kentucky and again hit the local blues jams. Today I am currently playing with Lamont Gillispie & 100 Proof, Louisville's Premiere Blues Band. Throughout my career I continue to challenge myself by picking up any gigs I can no matter what genre.
