About Me

Beginning as middle school acquaintances Jon, Andy and Dan had always expressed an interest in forming a band. Their junior year, Jon picked up the bass and started learning it - however, this idea quickly lapsed amidst school work and high school activities, and was all but forgotten....until a jam of consistently epic proportions at Mason's house with Andy and Dan, and after only one jam, The Subtones were born.

The subtle blend of Andy and Dan's many guitar influences, Jon's punk bass, and Mason's versatile drums gave way to many genres and many styles of music emerged from the hallowed 'basement at Mason's'. Heavily influenced by their 60's and 70's rock roots, The Subtones are not afraid to play older music and put their own spin on it. The older, the better. Punk ballads, Alt rock with 60's melodies, space rock and fusion of ska and surf (AKA 'skurf') are only a few of the blended genres The Subtones have mastered.

The Subtones are currently in studio creating new songs and blends of genres and working on new recordings for our upcoming ep.
We are on the lookout for shows and gigs to play. We will play any gig, parties, clubs, anything. Thanks for checking us out! Enjoy the music, and rock on!
