Quiat Mohammed aka Momo Cat - singer, songwriter, producer.He was born in Marocco, grown up in France, and came to Finland in the year 1990. Momo was one of the founders of the band "Saganor". There he not only did the lead vocal and rhythm guitar, but also wrote his own songs and lyrics. At the same time he was supporting many other important reggae bands, such as "Itals", "Cultur", "The Wailers", "Black Uhuru", "Burning Spear". Momo and "Saganor" made reggae history being the first reggae band ever performing in Estonia for over 30000 people. The festival Summer Rock also featured other groups like "Faith No More" and "Ultra Vox".In the year 1997 he won the competition "Star of the Year" in Finland. After that "big day" things started to get going. In the end of 1997 he signed a contract with international label Sony. Also the year 1997 brought chance for Momo to work with one of the best producers in Finland: Sherif Osman, who later became his manager. First single "Commercial Love" came out the same year and it took 26th place in Finnish Hit Club. Second single "Sweet a la la la la la long" came out in 1998. And so the name "Momo" started to get bigger and bigger and doing big festivals in Finland, Marocco, Turkey, Lithuania and France. He was also doing a shows in national TV.In the year 2000 Momo signed with EMI Danmark. His name became famous all over the world because of writing and singing with DJ ALIGATOR. The album named "Payback Time" sold over 500000 copies in a few weeks.In 2003 he joined the band called "Soul Captain Band", one of the greatest reggae bands in Finland. Straight away they released an album, which took place number 6 in the album chart. Meanwhile, recording with artists like "Mariska" and "Beats'n'Styles". Year 2005 he was qualified to semifinal representing Finland in Eurovision song contest.
