I LOVE beautiful things. For me beautiful means something unique, something like no other. I find things that move my little world often in music, other people's artwork and in other people.We are mysterious beings, us humans...................................................... ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ...................................... ABOUT MY ARTWORK........My dolls are no barbies. They eat barbies for dinner, hair&bones&all..With one big bite :) They're also quite big, height approximately from 20 to 40 inches. They have invaded my home so I have no room on my sofa or on my rocking chair...well, I suppose they need their rest more than me..... Together with my woodcut portraits they make colourful family and ancestry of horned characters. My dolls aren't necessarily considered to be beautiful nor is that their main aim. For me they are an embodiment of Humanity,rugged but gentle, vulnerable, mischevious and for real. The characters of my dollfamily aren't without flaws on the contrary. More important than beautiful appearance is being soulful and having a personality ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ................... About Woodcuts..I love the smell of freshly cut wood.In all ,making Graphic art is like meditating. It also forces You to think Your every move, this is compulsory for an impulsive person like me. Working with plain wood block and chisel doesn't really sound interesting but when you add colour and differnt types of japanese paper you get, what I consider to be, the true definition of happiness.Hah.
