BETTINA came late to singing proffesoinaly, she trained at the" English National Opera" and sang proffesionaly with them ,she met many jazz enthusiasts when working as a waitress at the "GROUCHO CLUB" in Soho including She soon found she enjoyed that and singing that genra of music, her voice is certainly suited to it and other styles of it espesially "lounge" also more comercial genras ie ballads, power ballads, showtunes ,and Blues in this writers opinion {BETTINA is much to shy to "Blow her own trumpet" } BETTINA has sang at most all of Londons better known clubs including "RONNIE SCOTTS ",and others ie" SMOLLENSKYS " etc,etc,,she has had residencies at many, including "THE GARDENS "L'ESGARGOT "and "LITTLE VENICE " she also appeared reguraly at "PIZZA ON THE PARK" BETTINA has also appeared on other stages and trode the boards at" THE SHAW THEATRE " "THE DUKE OF YORKS THEATRE",and "THE NABILA"as well as several lesser known ones,she has appeared at "THE SOHO JAZZ FESTIVAL," "THE SOHO BALL"and" BLAZERS "she can sing in most any style that is called for,singing with the legendry "RONNIE SCOTT QUARTET"," BILL LESAGE", "ALEC DANKWORTH" and the"COLIN PURBROOK TRIO"she has supported "BENNY WATERS" on several occasions and of course been seen and heard with the likes of "GILL MANLY" friend ,and"sister" BETTINA also used her many vocal styles to good effect when she began to impersonate others, including her peers such as "DAME SHIRLY BASEY"{who approves greatly} "BILLY HOLIDAY" , "SARAH VAUGHN" ,"ERTHA KITT" and many, many others,Some can be heard on "IMPERSINATIONS "the third track on playlist , but she has her own style and brings true emotion to her lyrics,I challenge anyone not to be moved by her rendition of "Songbird" aall three of the tacks were done with only piano and no help from electronic wizardry,how much better would they have been if recorded in studio setting with full backing i wander BETTINA is also a talented writer and composer. BETTINA also used her talent for impesination of non singers and can impersonate most anyone ,she is well known for her impersinations of the likes of Margret Thatcher and appeared on "WHO DO YOU DO?" reguarly in the 90's,she has completed a series of voices for the "Cavendish Music Libary" and features in the Channel 4's Chryslis production of " Animarathon" she has done character soundtrack for "Music to Picture" ,and has concived and written a wonderful now completed set of adventuers for an animated childrens series called "THE PUDGICLES "Anyone interested will not be dissapointed !!!
