About Me

Let's see, a little about me. When I got to high school, I thought that my life path would be business, so I wanted to learn how to run one. I worked for my cousin, and ran one of his restaurants by the time that I was 18. I studied business related classes, and when I got out, went to the University of Maine in Orono to study accounting. After 2 years, I realized that it wasn't what I wanted to do with myself, I dropped out and joined the Navy. I scored high enough on the ASVAP to do whatever I wanted, and chose Electronics (under the advice of a recruiter). I did my 4 years, and when I got out, I landed a pretty fat ass job working for Intel in Hillsboro Oregon, based solely on my military experience. They paid me a shit ton of money to move out to the North West from Maine. I packed my truck, and headed out here, not knowing anybody. I realized within 9 months that I wasn't going to make a career there. I accomplished many things in a very short amount of time that it took most 2 years to do. I was bored, and often felt like I was watching paint dry at night. I worked nights full time, and went to school full time, and then started training MMA at Team Quest. Learned a lot about myself in the gym fighting, and it helped me build the confidence to quit my job at Intel and go back to school full time. I figured it I wasn't scared to get my face pounded in on a daily basis, why should I be scared to quit a job making $50k a year, with excellent benefits? Yeah, I'm gonna be a broke ass college student for 3 years, but why should I be scared to struggle? I didn't want to be one of those people who was 40 - 50 years old, and always complaining about how much I hated my job, but did nothing to make my situation better. Shit, I didn't even want to be 27 and complain about it. So I quit, and moved to Corvallis, and started attending OSU full time, studying Electrical Engineerinng and Computer Science. Yeah, I'm sort of a geek, but I might as well take advantage of the fact that learning comes easy to me.600x1 ............................................................ .
