About Me

And so the story begins....In 2007 Emma Curran went to New York on holiday, primarily to see Snow Patrol in Madison Square Gardens Theatre but also to take a huge piece of cardboard with quite a message on it for the added extra! This read: - 'Flew from Glasgow, now I'm skint you're so worth it'.

Gary Lightbody saw this and plucked Emma from a passionate crowd to sing the female vocal on the phenomenal 'Set Fire To The Third Bar' which was sung on record by the exquisite Martha Wainwright.

Emma sang her 'wee' heart out and the press and people took notice. Emma just expected this to be a one off however, the musical Gods were looking down on her that day.

She returned to Glasgow and some time later heard like a few other patrol fans that they were playing an intimate gig for XFM at none other than King Tuts. She attended and once again was picked to sing on a very emotional night, this was the night that would make people really take notice........

Emma is currently recording her debut album with John McLaughlin, Francis MacDonald (Teenage Fanclub) and Gordon Goudie (Echo and the Bunnymen). The first single will be Perfect Isolation due for release later this year.
