KALYUG is Nikhel’s Progressive avatar. Nikhel draws inspiration from
ancient Indian Hindu mythology and has deep rooted spiritual beliefs. According to
Hindu mythology, Kalyug is the fourth and final era in the spiritual evolution of man. The
four ages of the world are: The Krita Yug - 4800 years : The Treta Yug – 3600 years : The
Dwapara Yug – 2400 years and KALYUG – 1200 years.
Kalyug has written, composed and produced the first Indian Progressive dance album
DIGITAL CHAMATKAR in spring, 2007 and was released on 05.05.07. Digital Chamatkar is currently available in both the Domestic and International markets. This album follows close on the heels of the Internationally acclaimed ‘Sattyananda - Internal Activities’, Nikhel’s first solo musical project that he composed under his ambient avatar:

Kalyug has performed at numerous Indian and International venues including Glade festival in U.K. and Freedom Festival in Portugal.SATTYANANDA a.k.a Nikhel Kumar Mahajan, born in 1979... has been expressing his inner experiences through abstract art forms. At the age of 16 Nikhel was introduced to the world
of computers where he found his thoughts and ideas coming to life. Nikhel's a student of
graphic design and a qualified Sound Engineer.He was Creative Producer for Delhi’s 1st FM Station – RED FM. He has worked in
different areas of the Industry ranging from movies, plays and TV Commercials . In 2005 Nikhel conceptualized a compilation VANDE MATARAM – which showcased Indian Electronica at its best. The CD was launched by MUSIC TODAY.Following which he channelized his ideas and energies in forming DadA Music. He went into the studio in the winter of 2005-06 and composed, produced and arranged INTERNAL ACTIVITIES, . In 2007, Nikhel has performed at some of the biggest electronic festivals in Europe during the summer.
