JAMES RUST

James Rust has been writing music and a performing Singer/Songwriter for the past 35 years. He is a two-time Central California Songwriter’s Association song writing contest winner, who has been performing in the Fresno area for the last six years. Before that he was a Pacific Coast Gathering Songwriter award winner, performing in and around San Diego. Jim recently began his second solo CD, "SING ME HOME", a companion to his first "STANDING AND STARING", which was produced by legendary multi-instrumentalist Roger Perry. Both CD’s are an eclectic compendium of Acoustic Folk Rock with memorable melodies rich with harmony plus insightful lyrics and social commentary.Currently he is also a member of the highly acclaimed vocal group ACOUSTIC HIGHWAY, along with Rick & Joanne Calhoun and Mike Alexander. December 2007 ACOUSTIC HIGHWAY released their second CD "THE JOKER AND LADY LUCK" stepping up production from their first CD "GYPSY MOON", also produced by Roger Perry with special guests Steve Kaykendall on guitar and Jeff Hallock on Harmonica (no sophomore slump here!). Both CD’s explore the journey to the Crossroads of Gypsy Blues and Cowboy jazz.
