Rubox is a Hip-Hop acapella beat boxer originally from Albany, Georgia. During his first year of college he obtained an Akai drum machine, which inspired him to start creating music. The discovery of his talent for beat boxing was only a sheer accident. “One day my drum machine died out on me; I remembered how the drum arranging went, so I beat boxed throughout the song and it came out pretty wellâ€, explained Rubox. Once he knew his beat boxing attempts started to blend with the scratch DJ’s he knew he had potential.Currently Rubox is performing throughout Orlando with three diverse groups and also working on his E.P. The First Layer, which will be released on I-Tunes. At this time he is experimenting with loop pedals and sounds effects, being more musical and abstract with time signatures while trying to merge more vocals and keys. His inspiration is a derivative of pop culture, music of all sorts, colors, instruments and conversations with friends.He had his first taste of performing in 1999 at the Def Talent Jam in Gainesville. Now he has won over fans at venues like Hard Rock Live, House of Blues, The Social, Back booth, AKA Lounge, Taste, UCF Wire Café, Underground Bluez, and Rollins College just to name a few. He has worked with a range of artists from Chris Kirkpatrick, Sol.illaquist of Sound, Peter Baldwin to Kid Beyond, Dillio and DJ SPS. Rubox plans on growing his fan base by taking over Florida one county at a time and then spiraling like a tornado into the next state.
