Serina K. Buggs is the wife of Elder LeVan Buggs, Jr. and is the mother of three wonderful children, Brandon, Brian, and Micaiah. She is originally from Fort Valley, Ga., but is currently a licensed hairstylist in Pontiac, Michigan. In 2003, she obtained a Liberal Arts Degree from Oakland Community College in Auburn Hills, Michigan. On December 14, 2008, Serina received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music and Religion at Rochester College in Rochester, Michigan.Stemming from childhood, singing has always been a part of Serina’s life.
She sang in the A ‘Cappella Choir in high school and also won the “Miss Jabberwock Pageant†in 1981, where she displayed her talent of singing, dancing, and acting. In 1996, she rededicated her life to Christ and became a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the Young Adult Choir. In 1998, she was chosen to represent her city as “Mrs. Pontiac†in the “Mrs. Michigan International Pageant.†In 2002, she was appointed Minister of Music, served on the Usher Board and Drama Ministry at Alpha & Omega Christ Centered Ministries. She is currently a member of Berea Family Tabernacle of Faith under the leadership of Bishop Rozelle Rutley.She has been blessed to minister in song at numerous church functions, including marriage banquets, funerals, women and youth conferences. She has also M.C.'d church functions. In 2001, she was a speaker at a women's conference at Berea Family Tabernacle of Faith Church. In 2003, she was a speaker at Alpha & Omega Christ Centered Ministries’ Annual Women’s Conference. On May 9, 2006, Serina was blessed to perform at the “Dr. Bobby Jones International Gospel Industry Retreat†in Hollywood, Florida. She also modeled on the “Red Carpet†for Panzai International Designing Co. In June of 2006, Serina was a guest panelist on a local talk show entitled “Reunionsâ€. In September of 2006, she was chosen to minister in song at the “Dorinda Clark Cole Singers and Musicians Conference†in Detroit, Michigan. In May of 2007, Serina was privileged to sing at the “National Day of Prayer†service at City Hall in Pontiac, Michigan. In August of 2007, she sang at a "Back to School" function at the Phoenix Center in Pontiac, Michigan.Serina will continue to serve God, become a gospel singer who will truly touch lives with His anointing, and bring souls to Christ.
