Originally a stage and recording name for Midwest singer-songwriter Thomas Fricilone, Raise High the Roof Beam has grown to a musical collective consisting of five members: Thomas, Wesley, Aly, Scott, and Brian. With a wide range of influences and musical styles the quintet offers an energy level and style that is hard to find. The band brings an eclectic array of acoustic and electric guitars, banjo, ukulele, piano, drum machines and synthesizers to performances that will not disappoint. Raise High the Roof Beam has been compared by friends and critics alike to artists such as Sufjan Stevens, The Beatles, Brian Wilson, Of Montreal, and The Flaming Lips
Under the name Raise High the Roof Beam, Thomas Fricilone has released a free concept EP that focuses on the idea of family, and is aptly titled Family EP. A specific family member or group individually inspired Fricilone’s songs for the EP. Family EP will reflect upon the ideas of what family means to an individual. How family can mean so much, and yet, one must not forget the battle within yourself to except how alone we are in this world. The EP also touches upon post-teen anxiety and the pressures of creating a life for oneself. You can download any and all of the tracks at RaiseHighTheRoofBeam.com
Currently, Raise High the Roof Beam is recording their debut EP, and booking shows for Summer 2008. The entire band is very excited to play your venue/bar/loft/basement/dungeon/bathroom/industrial warehouse.
