Music and Dance is how I express myself. I have played music all my life and I couldn't imagine life without it. My music playing preferences are centered on stringed instruments and I can play the major instruments i.e. guitar, banjo, bass, fiddle and mandolin. However my strings of choice is the upright bass. The flexibility of this instrument is just amazing to me. I also love what it brings to the music. Playing bass is a special privelage, known mostly by those who gravitate towards this instrument. However, if I ever got stranded on an island with only one instrument, it would be the 5 string banjo. I never get sick of diddling around with a banjo and unique tunings. When I recall a tune it usually comes easily on a banjo. For dance, I really dig Cajun and zydeco. Nothing (besides maybe one other thing) let's me move my body like these dancing styles. There something about the Louisiana culture that grabs my soul.
