SilkStone Project,featuring Silky Hayes

The SilkStone Project is a work that is 20 years in the making. By calling it a Project it allows us to use many different Musician's at any given time.The Bands Core is Alex "Silky" Hayes,(Permafunk, The Real Bigg's, The Doc Woodward Band),. and John Hefty (Permafunk, MC5, Philly International Label),(and one of the Steadiest Bassist Players ever,Hefty is always right in the pocket. No flash,just Class).We have had the honor of having played with us: Leo Dombecki,(Ike Turner Band,Ravi Shankar,). John Graylick,(Rare Earth), The Late, Great, Julie Ann,"Brooke Stone" Rann. Roger Tarkson,(Grahm Nash and a hell of a Drummer in and out of the Studio ). David Wall. Chris Venski,(One of the Best B3 players ever). Chappy, Crazy Eye's" Reevers. just to list a few.The band has a number of musician's who will come and play with us. We are working on getting over to Europe. Doing some of our originals but mostly covers. One of the things about the SilkyStone Project is that they Can and do Duplicate the Sound of the song being performed. When they do a Joe Cocker tune,you will think the it is Joe Cocker on that stage. You will hear every note. We believe that if you are going to do Covers then do that, Cover the damn song.We have played a number of Venues through out the U.S. And Canada. And are looking to get back out on the Road soon. We will keep you appraised.
