Spittin Image

Formed in 1997 with three members. Initially called "Anotha Level" then "3:16". The name was changed to "Spittin Image" after a reforming of the group . The name has a double meaning. As men we are formed in the image of God. ie: "you are the spittin' image of your father". On the other side of the coin what we do on the microphone is often referred to as "spittin". “Bishop” the founder of the group is a former d.j. / rapper from the days of the foundation of hip hop. Prior to salvation on June 29th 1994, Bishop was a partner in several major hip hop movements in the DC area that included the now defunct “Section 8 records”. “Logos” is the youngest member of the group and is a native of Sacramento, California. He has been a fan of hip hop all his life and after salvation embraced the art form as a ministry to reach the unreachable. It was 2001 when “Filthy Rags” stopped playing church and found the Lord. At an early age Filthy turned to the underground community where he mastered his writing skills. His musical influence comes from his uncles which were members of the Motown group, The Dynamic Superiols. Filthy Rags has played in feature roles in “Satan’s Expose” and “Sexpose” the remix (the most graphic stage play in America).
