About Me

German Shepherd Etc was established in May of 2004. Our organization consists of over 100 members located all over the world. We are proud to step forward and fight for the need's of Man's best friend, the dog. We know they are cute, cuddly and as puppies, simply irresistable. However, we have seen the fall out of these cute fluffy Christmas presents. We have seen them cast aside when they are full grown, untrained, train wrecks in a home. We have seen them cast outside, into a yard, to wither away, longing to be inside with their family, confused and hurt. What did they do wrong?? What did they do wrong? Nothing! Not a single thing. They were themselves, they were dogs. Dogs whose owners bought them on a whim, possibly from a back yard breeder or Pet Store (Puppy Mill). They have behavior issues, health issues. Now they are castoffs, some possession that merely has to be fed and watered. IF they are lucky! To us, they are family. They need proper training, a warm place to sleep, food, water and if they are sick, they need proper vet care and LOVE. We don't understand how this is so hard, we aren't asking for perfection, its not rocket science. But, we cry daily over the things we see. We see dogs dying alone in a box or chained to a house. They have not been fed, no water, no shelter, no love. We are not fanatics, we want to help. We are here to give advice and to lend an ear. We are here to train you to train your dog and if that still doesn't work, we will help you to find a home for your dog, so that this gorgeous, precious gift doesn't have to suffer.
