This young, unique, and very talented rap artist goes by the name of Phlip, (pronounced FLIP) but his real name is Phillip Michael Yanson. This young star was born March 3, 1989 and is living at the age of 20. He is straight up FILIPINO. He currently resides in the state of Minnesota. He is currently getting his college education at RCTC.
Ever since a little boy Phlip was always inspired by music. It didn't matter what kind of music he was listening to, he just enjoyed the sound of music. Ever since a little kid he always had this dream that one day he would perform in front of thousands of people. As he got older, he would carry his passion for music with him. In middle school, he and a few of friends would go to the bathroom and have rap battles before every class. It didn't matter to Phlip if he was the best or not, it was music. He saw it as he didn't have to be the best to do what he loves. As soon as highschool came along, his passion for music started to fade away, but this is when he met Alex Ou known as Lil Crazed who is one of the top asian rap artists on myspace and youtube. It didn't take Phlip long to get his passion back for music because he had other people there with him that had the same passion for music. Phlip would soon learn a lot from Lil Crazed and his Pretty Boyz. What he learned from Lil Crazed and his Pretty Boyz, is what made Phlip the rapper he is today. Present day, now Phlip is getting his name and music out there. From making hits like "Everytime We touch (Remix)" "Never Be Together" "Certified (Remix)" "Love Story" and etc. From what he accumulated along the years and his passion for music, all this is going to make his music history in the making. . . and one day he will make it to the top. "I GO BY THE NAME OF PHLIP, BE ON THE WATCH FOR ME. . ."
