Very Vancouver Christmas Volume 3
Well it's October 4th and we're coming into the home stretch! Just a few more things to do an we're off to Graemme's for mastering on the 16th, and Volume 3 will be available for sale, hopefully, the first week of November! September 3rd, 2008 ~ Well here we are again, finishing up on the Christmas album and nice and early this year too! This year we have a great line up including Karen Fowlie, Rheal Poirier, Adrienne Pierce, Scott Jackson, Melissa Rae Anne, Rick Fines and many more great artists! This year we are searching for a new web designer to update our website as well as more retail outlets who will carry us, so please let me know if you hear of anyone. Also, the BC SPCA will be selling the album in their web store this year as well! It's going to be an amazing year! Stay tuned!
Welcome to 'A Very Vancouver Christmas Vol-II'!
Well, here we are again after a very successful 2006. Vol I had loads of radio play across North America, and sales as far away as Europe and Japan! Our feedback has been wonderful and we are happy to welcome back many of last year's retailers and a few of our artist friends as well.We had a great pat on the back this year, from Steve Lawson (Studio X in Seattle) who is working on Vol 11(yes, eleven!) of their Christmas album for the Children's Hospital - please support them at: www.christmasinthenorthwest.com . We were happy to be able to pass along Marika's Christmas tune "Christmas Came Early", for use on their new album.We were also honored to receive so much great press and media attention from West Virginia! Where co-songwriter Mark Clay ("Christmas everyday" - Kelly Pettit), was much feted and interviewed. We have even spawned 'A Very Virginia Christmas'!This year we have some amazing new artists(Adrienne Pierce, T Nile and The Creaking Planks to name just a few!) , and we welcome back some old friends, as well giving ourselves a generous helping of Roasted Chestnut Orchestra. The album will have even more great original holiday tunes again benefitting, the BC-SPCA and the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau. This year you will also be able to see many of the artists playing around town, watch for artist updates and links on our new Myspace page at:

A Very Vancouver Christmas Volume I- 2006
This album is the child of three grown ideas. I wanted to find a way to showcase some of Vancouver's amazing new musical talent, while at the same time involve and give back to the community. I also wanted to pay tribute to non-traditional Christmas and holiday music and the people who make it; so what better way to get everything I want for Christmas, than through the production of this CD!“A Very Vancouver Christmas†is an album of original Christmas/Holiday music, in aid of the BC-SPCA and the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau. 100% of proceeds will be donated to our charities.In August 2006, 10 of Vancouver’s most popular musicians and bands were invited to join this project for charity. In just a few short months they wrote and recorded their own original Christmas/Holiday music. The results are amazing.Musical styles are varied, from jazz and blues to rock, country and indie music. All of the material is original with a Christmas/Holiday theme. We are expecting radio play, and hoping this will be an annual event, with live performances, as one of the goals of this album project was to make these musicians and their music available to a wider, non club going audience.
All artists and services are donated, and, as mentioned, all income from sales will be split between the charities: BC SPCA and the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau.
