I love the arts, I love sports, I love learning, I love reading, I love talking, and laughing and most importantly being creative...I love to travel...to cook...to be with friends...my interests lie in art, movies, writing, and learning...music is very important to me and one day I hope to live up to the huge shoes my younger brothers have made in creating music...they are both talented and creative musicians and I'd love to make music with them someday...I think it's a very likely reality... And I love playing basketball...runnin' the courts...Tore my left ACL twice already...sucks...I am "between surgeries", as I like to call it...check out my art at: http://akrause409.deviantart.com/
I still don't know...the more I meet new people that I have a lot of respect for (like some of the people I've met here working in Louisiana) the more I feel like that is the only type of person I want to meet anymore...I meet enough people in life who are lost, scared and as a result very hard to be around...I am very grateful to meet people that I am impressed with...I also want to meet the fool that does these things those crazy animated gifs of colin farrel and perez hilton on the phone, or brad/angelina/jenn three-way phone call...hilarious.
I have a very eclectic taste...I love finding new music...and old stuff I never heard...I used to say I didn't like country but I like a lot of classic country, not the mass culturalized contemporary stuff...you know, Waylon and Willie and the the boys...I grew up on Classic Rock in Louisiana, went through a Rap stage in high school, an electronic stage in college, and a recent swing through folk-style rock...but essentially I am a non-working DJ. People ask me about music all the time...I love it. My faves are: Moby, Coldplay, Peter Gabriel, Depeche Mode, New Order, Ryan Adams, Jay-Z, lots of electronica, classic rock, rap/hip-hop...beautiful singers, great music...will always love MOBY..
So many to love...the first movie I cried in was Bambi...(c'mon I was a little kid...I always cried when an animal died in those Disney movies)...the first move I saw in a theatre was Conan the Destroyer, the first drive-in movie was Risky Business, the first sleep-over movie was The Great Escape (I cried in that one, too)...and then we stayed up real late that night and watched Police Academy...that was my first pair of naked breasts on TV...I think I was in 3rd grade. My dad loved westerns, especially the Clint Eastwood classics and we would watch those over and over again...The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is still amazing...I love the epic movies the best...you name it, I probably liked it...some are inspiring for me...I love movies that make me cry...that means they really reached me...I just look like a total pussy when I walk out of the theatres...oh, well. Last good one I cried in? I can't remember, but if you cried in it...I probably did too. Gotta admit, I like a lot of Russel Crowe movies, including, Gladiator.
At one point I basically didn't watch TV for 5 months in the last year. and I can honestly say I don't miss TV and that I could feel brain cells regrowing...that said, I love and am addicted to so many good shows, and have kinda latched on to this YouTube thing: Chapelle Show...I am so depressed he is not doing the show anymore...Lost (I'm very addicted...I don't even have my theories straight...I am so confused...I love it), Desperate Housewives (decent/entertaining), Alias (I lose my interest, then come back...Jennifer Garner is a crazy hottie and last season's cliffhanger hooked me, but now its over adn the Final Episode blew, whatever...), Rescue Me (one of the best written shows on TV, Denis Leary's creativity is inspirational), Nip/Tuck (although I am scared of the upcoming season), Entourage (piven rules...), Curb Your Enthusiasm, Rock Star INXS/Supernove (1000X better than American Idol, but we need some judges with balls...gotta say Dave Navarro is one smart dude...he is just really retarded for breaking up with Carmen...unless she is just a total mess...). I am also a Surreal Life and Real World addict, the "fly on the wall" thing totally works for me on these shows...Shorties Watchin' Shorties...great! Family Guy...this stuff rules! Stewie, Peter, Brian...they should just have their own spinoff, the three of them... Aqua Teen Hunger Force...still waiting for more...it rules.....
I read a lot as a kid...and almost nothing now as an adult...I just don't have the time and it isn't a priority..but I love great literature...as a kid I read Tolkien, Hemingway, Dumas, Bronte...I know, Tolkien seems like a stretch when it comes to "great literature" but seeing the movies come to life was AMAZING...I definitely cried in those movies...but I love Ludlum and Clancy, too. I'll never forget Hunt for Red October (cried in that one)...loved Sean Connery in that. My favorite book will probably always be The Three Musketeers by Dumas...what an epic story...Count of Monte Cristo, too. I love Hemingway...love him...love his writing style...
