About Me

Check out my blog here . It is updated marginally (and by marginally, I mean much) more frequently than this MySpace page. Anyhoo...I'm Casey. I'm told I dress well from the waist up. (not true, I have quite nice pants now) I'm currently writing this from a swoopty new MacBook, so that's fun. (still fun, but not true. The Macbook isn't that new anymore) I'm also completely bald.(Not true) Shaved my hair right off this morning. (definitely didn't this morning, and even if I did, it'd be a coincidence) So you can just call me shiny-head. (Please don't; People will laugh at you and call you a liar).
PS. I just discovered I don't have to limit myself to top 8 friends. So just about everyone gets my top friend lovin'. Woohoo! Hurray for the top 24!PPS. I just alphabetized my top 24 friends. You're all equal. Except for you. My score on The Nerd? Geek? or Dork? Test :
Modern, Cool Nerd
(60 % Nerd, 60% Geek, 21% Dork)
For The Record:A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia. A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one. A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.You scored better than half in Nerd and Geek, earning you the title of: Modern, Cool Nerd.Nerds didn't use to be cool, but in the 90's that all changed. It used to be that, if you were a computer expert, you had to wear plaid or a pocket protector or suspenders or something that announced to the world that you couldn't quite fit in. Not anymore. Now, the intelligent and geeky have eked out for themselves a modicum of respect at the very least, and "geek is chic." The Modern, Cool Nerd is intelligent, knowledgable and always the person to call in a crisis (needing computer advice/an arcane bit of trivia knowledge). They are the one you want as your lifeline in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (or the one up there, winning the million bucks)! ..

My Interests

I am interested in things I don't even know about yet. But, here are the others: Music, Food, Wine, Flying (as in, being a pilot), climbing Mt Kilimanjaro, curling, writing, writing, writing, running half marathons, kayaking, visiting all the continents, hot tub sanitation and maintenance, building wooden clocks, podcasting (want to, haven't done it yet), did I mention travelling?, cooking, learning to use my swoopty Global knives properly, vague interest in gardening, mostly because I'm frustrated that I don't know how, cats, SNOWBOARDING, oh...oh...and...and...and...

I'd like to meet:

I get along with most everyone, cause it seems that almost everyone has something unique to offer the world. I'm less interested in hanging out with people who are incurious, though...!

Music:

Ah, hell...I was trying to edit this (mostly add stuff). I'm terrible with favorites. I like lots of music, and if I tried to list everything, I'd fill up the internet. So here's a way to sum it up: I listen to KEXP, I am a season ticket holder at the opera, and I can be found at The Mercury some nights.

Movies:

Garden State, Mirrormask, Princess Bride, Koyaanisqatsi, A Short Film about John Bolton, Brazil, Napoleon Dynamite, Serenity, A bunch of Monty Python stuff, the free "How To Play Your Theremin" video that came with my theremin.

Television:

Cooking shows of all stripes, The Office, Simpsons, Firefly, Lost, Battlestar Galactica

Books:

Neil Gaiman's books (Anansi Boys, American Gods, Sandman, Neverwhere, Stardust, etc), Douglas Adams' books, Currently reading Modern Library's 100 best novels. In order. I'm on ..1: Ulysses. The good news is, I've already read some of them further down the list., Harry Potter books, McSweeney's stuff (check out Giraffes? Giraffes! for example), The Series of Unfortunate Events, Jane Austen's books, cookbooks (especially vegetarian ones!)

Heroes:

Your mom...
