Mission Statement: The Life Linkage Network is the worldwide innovative project devoted to connecting all areas of the cancer community including persons and organizations alike through online social networking.
Founded in November of 2006, The Life Linkage Network is an innovated and new social networking tool for all areas of the cancer community. Dealing with cancer is not an easy task, and as a cancer survivor of 11 years, I know first hand how it can affect a person..'s life and the lives of those around them.
As you all know, keeping in touch with the people you meet these days can sometimes prove to be a struggle. Throughout my journey as a newly diagnosed .."cancer kid.." and now a survivor, myself and others have made many lasting friendships with other individuals just like us. These friendships are a vital part of understanding and dealing with cancer because they provide different aspects and outlooks from individuals who all share a common bond. The importance of keeping and maintaining these bonds is now possible through the creation of The Life Linkage Network website. Here individuals and organizations alike can sign up and become a member of this inspiring new social network.
Life Linkage provides its members with their very own personal page that is fully customizable and includes personal information and picture, blog space, ability to upload pictures, movies, and music, along with many other exciting features. Aside from the cool customizable options, members can keep in touch with their existing friends, and make new friends along the way. Features like the Story Board, allow users to read the incredible journeys of other members of the community and allows the user to post their own unique walk with cancer. This project is the only one of its kind, with endless possibilities for the future.
I encourage all my members to lay it all out on the line. We are the generation of a new social movement that is today..'s cancer. So it is important that we all get busy living. On behalf of Life Linkage, I welcome you all to our network and community.
