His father’s dream of being a DJ was a simple transition to the love of music staining his soul. He found himself especially listening to, The Temptations, Earth, Wind and Fire and Maze. Being the second child of three, nique found his own way of making himself known.Besides learning how to play the piano at the age of five, in Elementary school he began venturing musically by enrolling in introductory trumpet class at W.J.C.Trapp Elementary. He continued playing the trumpet through junior high school and later learned that the piano was where his heart dwelled.In junior high and high school his musical influences extended toward such artists such as Timberland, J Dilla, Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur. His talents continued to naturally develop and eventually lead him to begin producing, rapping and song writing.In 2000, Nique was introduced to a beat making program called “E-jay” and from then his life has never been the same. Producing songs for his older brothers group City Soul and different artist in the Inland Empire, as well as the greater Los Angeles area. Growing and obtaining exposure has been the road traveled since.The love for music stayed in Niques heart and after graduating from high school, he decided to seriously pursue the road of music while attending San Bernardino Valley College. His main surgical tool is the Piano. Nique has become a force that has yet to be let out of the cage. Producing, writing and cutting and occasional vocal or two has become a daily passion for the 19 year old star.Balancing his love for the music and school is one of many goals in his life.
