About Me

Where do I begin?Japan.OK that'll do.I have created this myspace to help with my research into the Japanese world of art, culture, and anything else that takes my fancy on the subject :)So, who is this girl who has created a myspace account for Japan? Well I shall tell you...I am a third year student at Liverpool John Moore's University in England, I study Illustration (and I like pink things). My aim for the dreaded third year research project is to expand my knowledge on Japan and take myself on a little journey through it. I have been fascinated by the place since my college friends introduced to Miss Hello Kitty as they wore her face on t-shirts and bags. I LOVED these people, I had never seen fashions like it. To me, Japan had always been some far off place that was incredibly traditional and followed strict rules in every day life, not a world where anything could go.And so I felt I needed to know more.My foundaton art final project revolved around the world of the "Fruits" books and since then, I have not had the chance to explore the world any furthur. Until this research project came along and the tutors said the wonderful words "It can be on anything you want (and it doesn't have to be an essay)"Japan instantly entered my mind.So join me, read my blog and maybe be my friend, send me anything cool you find that could help me, and you may get a thankyou in my final project :)
