I record songs on a PC with free computer software and a shoebox cassette microphone. My parents bought my first guitar when I was 13, and I've been playing, singing, and songwriting for almost 10 years. Essentially, I am self-taught with the exception of one classical guitar course from Mr. Allen at the Chattanooga High School Center for the Creative Arts, and one bluegrass guitar course from Jack Tottle at East Tennessee State University.
I'm originally from Chattanooga, TN, now going to school in Johnson City, TN at East Tennessee State University, majoring in Computer and Information Sciences and minoring in Appalachian Music. There is no telling when I will graduate at this point, as I've been in school since 2005 and still have at least three more years due to a couple of changes in major.
I'm occasionally playing shows locally. I'm really interested in digging into the technical side of music and combining it with computer skills. So, being a performing artist is more or less a hobby, and only time will tell if it will be part of my career.
