Dream was born in 1987 in Colchester, Essex. He lived in Hackney briefly before moving back to Colchester where he lives currently. He had always been a fan of hip hop then found himself writing lyrics and rapping after he had been going through a bad patch in his private life where he was clinically depressed and had numerous other personal issues.He discovered he had a talent for hip hop and that it helped him to write down what he was feeling. Like many writers, he initially wrote poetry before he progressed to writing lyrics. Wanting to take music more seriously Dream joined a crew called D.O.T and started making tracks with them, they did a few mixtapes which were highly rated but Dream eventually split with D.O.T, as they solely did grime and he felt his style was more suited to hip hop.Dream joined Raskil Records after meeting Raskil Record's Owner Ras and impressing him with his unique style, passionate delivery, overall enthusiasm and love for music. Ras sensed that Dream was a huge talent and signed him to Raskil. Since joining his improvement has been immense and his confidence has noticeably grown. He feels he has finally found his musical home and states that joining Raskil has helped him become a better, stronger and happier person.Musically he appeals to those that have had struggle in their lives and he also has a strong female following. He makes diverse music that ranges from clubby/spiritual/uplifting etc. He has been compared to Bizzy Bone musically and the comparisons are obvious if you’re a Bone fan.Dream has performed live on a number of occasions and has always received a standing ovation. He has released a mixtape called “You Ain’t Ready For Me†and is working on an album. They are touted to be incredible projects that will help establish him as a force in hip hop.Dream has had times where he has been close to death, but having overcome everything now he feels he can achieve anything and that his frantic past has made him develop into a stronger person ready to deal with anything that comes his way.He has an unorthodox flow, utilizes his large vocabulary, has a fiery delivery and is a completely unique and original artist. His passion and emotion shines through his music and he is sure to be an artist with a bright future ahead of him.
