We Exist Only For Others

About Me

20 Year Old Senior Studying Political Science and Law at Florida International University's beautiful Kendall Campus. I try my best to keep a smile on my face. I was raised to believe that something as small and insignificant as a smile could change a person's life. I'm known famously for my hugs (according to Milly!!). Great listener and an even better talker (LMAO). I believe deeply in the power of friendship and brotherhood and ask those who know me to trust and believe in me. I like to believe that there is a little bit of God in every one of us and when I meet people and make friends, my goal is to find that light within them that will bring happiness and joy to MY life. (Sounds selfish?? I think not). I am not a religious person at all, I happen to have certain qualms about organized religion that I will not get into, however, I AM a very SPIRITUAL person though. Some people don't understand the difference, but there is one. As a young black male living in this world I work very hard to break stereotypes. I'm not a thug, I don't do drugs, I don't smoke weed, and although I love basketball and in spite of my height, I am NOT a sports fanatic. I have a very LIBERAL admiration of music of all types (R&B, Rock, Reggae, Pop, Reggaeton, & almost anything latin). I am also really into learning about different cultures. Living in Miami, I am multi-lingual (Fluent in two languages and functional in two) and I possess a great RESPECT and ADMIRATION for cultures world-wide. I LOVE debating politics and am open to discussion about any controversial issue as long as my opponent is willing to be as open-minded as I am. You see, I like to believe that I am able to veiw any situation (with few exceptions) from multiple perspectives. Thats what life is all about, and personally I believe it is the only way to solve disputes between people - a willingness to open one's mind.Want to know more? Hit me up. I'm always looking to meet new friends and have awesome and enriching conversations. PUT YOUR ABOUT ME SECTION HERE! Changes may take up to 2 mins to show on your profile

My Interests

Generally, I find myself interested in human nature. . . especially any and all forms of human interaction. I'm studying Political Science and Law, currently, so my academic and professional interests are quite obvious.

I'd like to meet:

Someone who can tie a cherry stem into a glorious knot. . . . . lol. . . Seriously, though . . . . interesting people with interesting ideas are those whom I like to surround myself with. I find myself most interested in meeting people whom my views and ideas differ greatly from. Before I leave this earth I would love to sit down and converse with and neo-nazi or white supremacist; I would gain much pleasure from a conversation with racists, homophobes, die-hard evangelicals as well. Also, always looking to meet new and interesting people, so if you fit the mold, feel free to hit me up.View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment

Firstly, my parents (I know its cliche, but its the truth), who raised me to be open-minded, honorable, and proud of the man that I have grown to be. Secondly, my friend Candace, who has displayed a courage that is often unseen in our world. The courage to stand up to close-minded bigots with a strength that rivals most warriors. Lastly, my pseudo-brother Daniel who through pride and presence alone has shown this work-a-holic that there is more to life. I thank God daily for the impact that they all have on my life.
