Mood Market

About Me

Mood Market formed in Melbourne, Australia in 2006 with the purpose of attempting to make some decent music. Many of these tracks are and their sound is based on the moment; many of the guitar leads and riffs have been improvised while recording and are taken or recorded in that pure, unadulterated rawness. The aim of this is to capture honesty and - in some songs - the desperation and emotions of the moment, rather than a tired, re-rehearsed guitar track. The desired result is a wilder, freeier sound that dares to flaunt the rougher edges rather than producing them down through filters and mastering. All the tracks included are works in progress at various stages. We consist of a singer, Josh, guitarist and producer, Jonathan (who came second in Triple J's Unearthed in 1995 for his region with an electronic piece) and Chris on the drums. Pics and more info will come shortly when we get these organised. new tracks are also coming to this site so stay posted.Mood Market are based on fun, life, sunny afternoons and above all - freedom in musical expression - and as a consequence we aint big on pretense and ego.
