Formed in the fall of 2002, It Burns started making a name for themselves early. Mixing 3-chord punk rock with bombastic rock and roll, they found the perfect formula for notoriety in their hometown of Carbondale, IL. Bob and Ray, both being products of the Chicago punk rock scene, bring the intensity and self-destructive need for speed. Jared, being the token local Southern Illinoisan, brings the long forgotten greatest attribute of classic rock: the wailing guitar solos. Evan, being from San Antonio, has nothing to offer except complete mastery of the drums, and Buddha. Many broken microphones, space heaters, PA speakers, walls, guitars, bones, and amps later, the band has a CD to prove their capability of sonic destruction. No other band in history of Carbondale has had a venue (temporarily) shut down due to "unlawful use of amplified sound." No other band has been banned from the bar which they work at. No other band has the entire town of Farmington, MO out for their blood. It Burns will drink your booze and fuck your shit up!!!
