About Us:
Smart Casual was formed in August 2007 and emerged from an attempt to convert Konstantin's rhythmic acoustic sound and vocals to instrumental. Smart Casual has tried to be a band for a year, but it did not work out as some of us lacked motivation. After a one year break, Konstantin and Sebastien decide to wake the project up and work only together, as it is the best compromise they have found.
Name and philosophy:
To us, “Smart Casual†stands for more than just a dress code- it’s a mind-set, a way of life! We feel comfortable within the loose borders conventions represent and believe that they leave enough potential for autonomous self-creation. No need to be rebellious, thanks, we’re fine... Nor do we need skinny jeans to feel rock’n’roll- our statement is our sound, not our attire. We praise originality and authenticity.
