FRANK’O MOIRAGHI Franco Moiraghi is surely one of the most popular Italian deejays / producers around the world. As a producer he actively joins forces with Milan based house label Reshape and works under several different monikers: the first international success came as DOUBLE F.M. with the classic “ILLUSION” (1992). The name that’s gained him the best international exposure is certainly FRANK’O MOIRAGHI featuring AMNESIA, whose main releases are: “THE SOUND OF AMNESIA E.P.” (1993), “FEEL MY BODY” (1996), “SHOW ME” (1998), “GIVE ME TONIGHT c/w FEEL MY BODY ‘98” (1998), “I DON’T NEED IT” (1999), “TURN YOUR LOVE AROUND” (2000), the latter with remixes by LENNY FONTANA. “FEEL MY BODY” entered the charts worldwide. It was No.1 in the UK club charts and TOP 40 in the UK sales charts with Rollo Faithless remix and Helipcoter( Multiply UK). “SHOW ME” topped the Dutch sales, club and radio charts during the summer 1998 and is still a radio/club classic. The brand new FRANK’O MOIRAGHI featuring AMNESIA release, “LOVE PRETENDER”, sees Frank’O being helped out by the beautiful voice of Pepper Mashay. A sure classic! As LOVE SYSTEM, he produced ”MUSIC, PEACE & HARMONY” (1997), that was released by TWISTED AMERICA (Universal) in the US and UK. The follow up “WE GOTTA DANCE” (1999) received a great response from press and DJ’s in the UK and worldwide. Other aliases include: FRANK’O, whose releases are “OUTSIDE” (1997) and “UNDERGROUND” (1998). HIERBA BUENA!, first release “BACK TO RIO” at the end of 1997. The record includes a sample of the classic “RIO DE JANEIRO” by GARY CRISS (SALSOUL RECORDS). SOWETO FUNK: two releases so far: “AFRICAN DREAM” c/w “MOVE YOUR BODY (TO THE BEAT)” (1998), released in Holland on Rhythm Records and “HEY DJ” (1999), released on YELLORANGE, Tony Humphries’ label, and going down a bomb. SOWETO FUNK, “BONO” is dedicated to U2’s singer for his social commitment. FREAK WALKERS (1999): It’s a definite Pop project and Virgin have picked it for Italy with an option for the world. First single is “I’M READY”. FUNK PROJECT: the first single is “YOU’RE MY LOVER” (1999), a club hit in Scandinavia and France, released by Airplay. MOIRAGHI meets ROBBIE MERRICK: “RELEASE YOURSELF” includes remixes by SPILLER. F.M. PROJECT: “YOU GOT THE LOVE”. The brand new single “YOU CAN’T STOP THE MUSIC”, promos are out now. CARIOCA : “TRIBAL SUITE” and instrumental dancefloor filler, “FLUTE BEAT”, picked up by John Aquaviva for one of his hi-quality compilations. The name LOST TRIBE, under which Frank’O released some classics in the mid-nineties, came back again for the single “SHABBA”, which was totally hammered in Ibiza and across Europe. “MONIA’S (IN DA HOUSE)” is an evocative vocal-driven anthem which has already had a great reaction. FRANCO MOIRAGHI MEETS PEPPER MASHAY “SEXSTACY” with powerful vocals from the ever-lovely Pepper Mashay was recently released. FRANK’O MOIRAGHI & MR MIKE “HARLEM SHUFFLE”, a remake of the Rolling Stones Hit, is out now on promo.
