I am currently working at a Golden Retriever rescue, rehabilitating dogs that have been surrendered to us for one reason or another. Then we find them new, loving homes where they can be cherished for the sweet and quirky characters they are. My husband and I adopted Satchel and have raised him since birth. His mother came to our rescue pregnant, but lost all but one of the puppies to a virus. We also adopted Jilly, a scrawny little golden, to be Satchel's playmate so I don't get my hands chewed up anymore. My life at one point revolved around music, but now the tides have changed and it revolves around animal care.I went to Bulgaria over the summer where I taught piano skills at an arts conference.
