Naomi grew a tiny bit weary of only doing lady cellist in other people's bands* and started doing her own songs after some sort of hippy epiphany at a yoga retreat in Ibiza. Morag politely relieved herself of lady strings commitments after not getting invited to the pub after practice one too many times*. Ellie wasn't doing anything anyway having hung up her Torvill and Dean leotard a few years before. Andrew was tempted (reluctantly and occasionally) away from panto at Bacup Royal Court Empire Theatre.And, lo, Guides were formed.Guides has been going (casually but persistently) since a few summers ago. In that time, we have managed to organise ourselves into doing three gigs: God knows we are trying. If you get a chance to go to one of our rare performances then you probably should.Naomi and Morag write the songs. Andrew is doing percussion sometimes.
