Mister Gwen’Weed’s history begins in April 2007. After being a long time
guitarist and singer, author, composer for Seelk (an electro-metal
group from Metz), Stan meets a drummer, Lionel. Quickly, a musical
synergy and a great friendship develops between them. At the end
of June 2007, the two accomplices meet a guitarist and a bass player,
Salvatore and Etienne. From this time, all begins… They find that
they have in common a lot of tastes for musical and philosophic styles.
The epoch of the “Gwen’Weed†is born with a first rock-reggae title
“The Dreamsâ€, which sounds pretty good. Inevitably, it motivates !
So we want a name to exist a bit. For the Celtics, the “gwenwed†is
the white heaven, the heaven of unconsciousness. And “weed†from
“wed� Guess guy… Rock and fusion make the style of the band,
and there is also soul, funk, rock, pop, reggae, jazz… All that’s grooving.
The band begins to really find its sound, and it can evolve. The group
exists for one year. Raoul Leininger (Atoll) makes the mixing of
a future album since April 2008. MGW is searching dates for concerts,

L'histoire de Mister Gwen'weed commence en avril 2007. Ayant été
longtemps guitariste ainsi qu'ex co-chanteur, auteur, compositeur
pour Seelk (groupe électro-métal messin), Stan fait la connaissance
d'un batteur, Lionel, avec lequel va rapidement se former une osmose
musicale ainsi qu'une grande amitié. Fin juin 2007, Les deux compères
font la rencontre d'un guitariste et d'un bassiste, Salvatore et Etienne.
A partir de là , tout commence... Ils se cherchent et se trouvent
de nombreux goûts pour des courants, styles musicaux
et philosophiques communs. L'ère du "Gwen'Weed" vient de naître
sur un premier titre rock-reggae "The Dreams", qui en prime sonne
plutôt bien. Eh oui ! Forcement, ça motive. On veut alors un nom
pour exister un peu. Le "gwenwed", c'est ce que les celtes appellent
le paradis blanc, le paradis de l'inconscience. Et weed à la place
de wed ? Devine mon loulou... Le style du groupe tire vers le rock
et la fusion. C'est en rapport avec la soul, la funk, le rock, la pop,
le reggae et le jazz... En bref tout ce qui groove. Le groupe
commence à trouver réellement son son et cela peut encore évoluer.
Cela va bientôt faire un an que le band existe. Raoul Leininger (Atoll)
se penche depuis avril 2008, sur le mixe d'un futur album. Et MGW
cherche des dates de concerts, histoire de partager sa musique
avec bon nombre de personnes. Mister Gwen'Weed attend
vos réflexions, critiques, requêtes et divers. A bientôt.
