Hi! Welcome to my MySpace page! I hope you enjoy your time here. Please listen to the music and if you would be so kind, leave a comment. Let me know what you think. I would also be open to any suggestions as to how to make my page more user friendly. I am kinda new at this so please be kind. Now a little about myself. I was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in the good ol' USA. I am one of 13 children, 12 of which are still among the living. I come from parents that were both great singers. All of us kids are also singers, but not all of us are doing it professionally. I always say that singing is not what I do, a singer is what I am! That means that music is a part of me. I also am a songwriter. I tend to lean a bit in the Soul/Funk/R&B direction. I guess that makes me a little bit "Old School". I think that is a good thing because it means that I like good songs with good lyrics. That is what I try to create when I write a song. Lyrics are very important because they hopefully give you something to think about while you listen. In this day and age we all should be thinking a lot because we all definately have a lot to think about! There are far too many songs on MTV and all over the radio that remind me of a phrase from the late "Godfather of Soul", Mr. James Brown. "You're Like a dull knife! You just ain't cuttin! You just talking a lot, and sayin nuttin!" I think a song has to say something to the listener about the songwriter. A song for me is a very personal thing. It allows the listener to have a glimpse of the inner workings of me. That is why I think it is a tragedy that some songwriters have the entire world listening to them, but they have nothing intelligent to say. I will never write a song about my money, my car, or my crew because of those things a car is all I have, and it is NOT a "Benz Sittn' on Dubs". I hope that as you get to know me as an artist, you will get to understand where I am coming From musically.
