About Me
Roots in France, Heart in San Francisco, Life in Los Angeles.
I studied Acting at the San Francisco American Conservatory Theater, aka "A.C.T." -loved it there by the way. But no, I didn't take the MFA program there, but the A.C.T. Studio classes under the artistic direction of Bruce Williams. Michael Carroll was my coach, and he was an amazing one (are you NOT on Myspace Mike?! where the heck are you?).My first taste of Acting classes however started at the Jean Shelton Actor's Lab, also in San Francisco. Matthew Shelton was a wonderful first teacher, whose energy level was out of this world! and deliciously contagious. But before A.C.T., and before Jean Shelton Actor's Lab, I actually spent quite a few years in...law school. Don't get me wrong though, I have ALWAYS wanted to be an Actress. Always. And as much as I did get into Acting rather late, I don't regret the time in Law School for that era has brought me some of the best and closest friends that I still have today.
By now you have gathered that San Francisco is where I started building my Acting resume, before moving to L.A. in 2004, where I have been loving and embracing every second passing by. Working hard, harder, still building and still learning but shouldn't we always? growing, making baby steps after baby steps, and making 2 wonderful babies too!So what is new today: "Sam Hell", a horror feature directed by Michael Bayouth in which I play young Alice's mother, is now completed and recently screened in L.A.
I have uploaded a clip here, somewhere on the top right corner of this page, which I invite you to go take a look at.
You can also catch me as a hooker in Zahedi's "I am a Sex Addict", winner of the 2005 Gotham Awards "Best Film not Playing near you in a Theater.More recently: a Mom in Megan Weaver's "Without Wings", the female barfly in Lou Frederick's short-film "Fire" (screenplay adapted from a novel by Joyce Carol Oates), and I am currently working with T. Smith on the webisode Lyfe With Kevyn, playing Rhonda. On a different note and in a different language, I have also been working at writing & filming my comedy sketches, in French this time, soon to be compiled under the title "Y'a pas à Dire". You may also get a taste of them here. Please do feel free to drop me a line if you believe that I could be a great fit to a project you are currently casting. And if you simply want to stop by to say Hi, you are also welcome to do so.
Thank you for stopping by!Bruna
