Tommy was born on the 15th of August, 1984 in Pecs, a city of southwestern Hungary. "I started to play guitar at 7. My most favourite guitar player, my main master is Stevie Ray Vaughan. I saw him on a videotape when I was only 5. Tommy's first great memory of playing gigs was the Gastroblues Festival '94 in Paks. "The guitar, the Blues and of course Stevie are my life. I hope, one day I'll be a certified guitar player. I played with many famous and good musicians: Eb Davis, Big Bill Morganfield (son of Muddy Waters), Tino Gonzales, Sugar Blue, Ian Siegal, Billy Flynn, Bob Stroger, Alan Haynes, Wes Jeans, Texas Slim, Tyler Dow Bryant and Carson Alexander. And in 2006 two dreams came true....
I recorded my first album, Let Your Fingers Bleed as Tommy K. Jr. & Full Blast band (Tamas Petendi - second guitars, Robert Kepes - bass, Istvan 'Fifi' Mezofi - drums, Gabor Cselik - keyboard, me - guitars, vocal). This was the first time writing my own songs and trying to make something different. I also have a band called Blues Power, we're playing the music of SRV, Jimi Hendrix and Albert King. And I have a blues guitar duo with Tamas Petendi, called Double Magic Tom. We play on our strats, and try to dedicate it to our masters. I love to play with my father, Tamas Katona Sr. anytime when it's possible! I was fortunate enought to visit the home of texas blues, Stevie Ray & the other masters of mine...& the 2006 Annual Stevie Ray Vaughan Ride And Concert . I dreamed about this for a long time. Texas was more than amazing!

We had a great record release party on the 8th of December at the A38 ship club in 2006. And since then I've been to Puistoblues Festival (Finland), the hungarian Budapest Blues Festival, Paks International Gastroblues Festival, Pordenone Blues Festival (Italy) with my band, Full Blast...I wish to thank a great deal to many for making this record possible, first of all, my father. Thanks goes to the ZIP Association and László "EOX" Bessenyei, my fellow musicians, sponsors, helping friends, like Zoltán Katona in the United States, but I believe it is impossible to list here all those lovely, helpful people whom I met while making this record. I appreciate all of your kind help and support!
