Born and raised in the cold winter lands of nothern
Spain, this volume-maniac guitar-addict night-lover hard-rocking gentelman soon
developed a love for blues and guitars.
This, along with the fact that he couldn't actually play a single note right, gave him not a reputation in the blues
scene. It gave him though a reputation in the bar
scene that put him in several trouble, but someway he
managed to enjoy it.In his mid-teen's he played the guitar in several
bands in Vitoria (Basque Country), and after a one
year stay in New Jersey, were he met other great
american musicians, he settled down in Madrid were he
formed another long list of pretty unknown bands. He worked hard and learned to play many different styles. From heavy to pop, funky or jazz, his pentatonic scales were omnipresent! After releasing a few CD's with pop band Dr. Livingstone he actually
managed to learn the blues with some great musicians,
such as Maestro Reverendo, but this again did not gave
him a reputation in the blues scene.Far for frustration he buyed himself a bigger, louder, meaner amplifier and joined the band El Ruido Maldito, were he enjoyed hard rock and pentatonic scales at the same time. After releasing the band's debut CD and performing all over the country in an intense tour Manu decided it was time to move on. He looked deep inside his heart and found his hunger for blues had not been satisfied yet!And that is how he got himself in the Quest fot the Holy New Blues. Encouraged with the love and care of his lovely wife, they both live a thousand advetures serching for music and happiness in the world, and trying to make a living out of it! If you want to hear what they found just wait for the new release later this year, Smoke For Tea Blues Sessions...
