About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

Triathlon, cycling, running, and (surprise!) swimming. Live music. Art. Movies. Anything shocking. Anything un-P.C. Rebellion, Independence, Rationality (does that make sense?). Writing for my own personal pleasure.

Music:

Listening now to: BRMC, Sea Wolf, SSPU, Bowie, The National, Tegan and Sara, Simian Mobile Disco, Ned's Atomic Dustbin, Arcade Fire, Spoon

Movies:

I am a huge movie buff. Picking a favorite is my version of Sofie's Choice. Do you go w/ the classics: Godfather, Star Wars, Patton, Schindler's List, Jaws, Chinatown, Casablanca. Or the quirky little films that reveal your true inner self: Amelie, Time Bandits, Breaking Away, Three O'Clock High, Stalag 17, Diabolique, The Producers. Anything by Woody Allen, Mel Brooks, Cohen Bros, QT, Robert Rodriguez, and Michael Mann. Right now, I am really into Spanish cinema: Y tu Mama Tambien, Sex and Lucia, Amoros Perros. Overall, I am looking for a story where I admire and feel for the characters, no matter how loathesome they might be.

Television:

Very picky: Sopranos, Entourage, European Pro Cycling (not kidding!), 24, Real Sports, Daily Show, Chappelle Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Books:

Phillip K. Dick's "A Scanner Darkly"; Anne Frank's Diary; "A Confederacy of Dunces"; Hawking's "A Brief History of Time"; Greene's "Fabric of the Cosmos"; Dante's "Inferno". If you want to know anything and everything about me, read Ellison's "Invisible Man". Pornography always has a special place in my heart (and next to the KY).

Heroes:

Ignatius J. Reilly, Stephen Hawking, Lance Armstrong, Hugh Hefner, Howard Stern, Jane Goodall, Jennifer Aniston, and George Lucas

Langerado

Upon entering Markham Park I noticed the smells of patchouli, nag champa, and sensimilia in the air. As the little festival that could, organizers were smart to schedule Langerado as the first shot fi...

The Age of Irony

If you want to see a band sweat, compliment them on their use of irony in their lyrics.  The perspiration from their foreheads will be enough to drown a hippo.  Today, no band wants to cop ...
