About Me

When I'm not busy taking anemic self-portraits in bathrooms, I run marathons to raise money for AIDS Project Los Angeles. So do most of my friends (check out the slideshow! If they're in it, they've either run an AIDS Marathon or greatly assisted we who have.) Put your cursor on the photo to read the caption!

I believe in God and I love dogs. I also recently fell in love with Italy ... in particular, a beautiful fishing village ... I'm the luckiest person in the world. Everywhere I go, I find amazing people and have zany adventures--even right here at home.

My four favourite places on Earth are: 1. Marina del Rey, California (where I currently live), 2. Bali, Indonesia (where my sister lives), 3. Honolulu, Hawaii (where I feel at home), and 4. Monterosso al Mare, Italy (where I would like to call home). These places have a great deal in common.

I'm half-Indonesian, half-German, and mostly crazy. It's good crazy, the kind of crazy that brings out the fun in others. The kind of crazy that makes you feel like it's okay to let go and be a little bit crazy, too!

Finally, I have a deep-seated but little-known passion for baseball.

Antarctica Rides the Bus!

I was running for the bus, and the driver honked and stopped. Nice! I flew onto it, puffin' like a puffin, and plopped down on the painfully orange plastic seat. A well-dressed white guy (ON A LOS ...

Boston Jack

He was spinning a half-full bottle of tea absently on the table. I came over and started waving at the bottle, willing it to point to me. Jack chortled and said:"That's how I got my first kiss, you ...
