About Me

/ .. I live and work (www.xlp.org.uk) in Tower Hamlets with the awesome young people of London. And I have a PhD in Psycholinguistics. (All you need to know is that it's about words and your brain. And no it doesn't mean that I know what you're thinking when you're talking to me. I wish it was as useful as that.)
I read this in a book at the Rothko Chapel:
"O God, the keenest eye sees only a minute portion of Your greatness. Even the mind of a genius perceives but a little of Your glory. Poets labour to express Your splendour, sages stammer in their effort to describe you, but in vain. All our learning is but a grain of sand on the shores of an infinite sea of knowledge. We cannot comprehend or name You. The mystery of Your works is a riddle we cannot solve. We can only stand in awe of the Infinite. And yet we reach out, hoping to grow toward Your light."
I don't know who said that. But whoever it was they sure were right.
"One secret of life is that the reason life works at all is that not everyone in your tribe is nuts on the same day." I ♥ Anne Lamott.
