About Me

Born in San Antonio, TX. Graduated from Brackenridge H.S. in '75. Joined the Army and retired in '95. Worked with a variety of bands from '74 to the present. My latest group is U.S. Beat. It is the property of Event Performance. Playing saxes, flute, clarinet, percussion, second keys, drums (when needed) and vocals.

Now I'm doing corporate work and "big" weddings in the southeast U.S. from "Da ATL" to New Orleans to Orlando. Just starting on a new project playing drums on a new CD. Just completed a Christmas CD for Ryan Almario. It should be available online soon and I'll try to post the link as soon as it becomes available.

Got the gig with Atlanta Jazz Syndicate (goto: AtlantaJazzSyndicate.com for more). Great bunch of guys looking for gigs playing a variety of jazz from the standards to jazz/pop/rock. Check back for more updates as we start to find locations to play.

I've played in a variety of bands covering styles from: C&W, R&B, Blues, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Classic Rock, Salsa, Merengue, Big Band, Classical, and combinations of all the above.

If you are looking for some special TLC on your next project... drop me a line and I'll be happy to give your project a listening and offer my suggestions as to what I could do for you. If you like it, we can do business. If you don't, its been a pleasure meeting you... thanks for writing.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: http:///www.showcaseyourmusic.com/FrankValdez
Band Members: The band members are varied based on the gig.
Influences: Everyone I've ever listened to. From AM radio to FM radio to MP3 to online podcasters.

I especially was influenced by "Jazz-Fusion" bands of the 70's-80's. Instrumental groups/soloists that use only music to convey emotions.

Try doing that sometime!
