About Me

I'm Lloyd, co-author of Corpse of Freedom , and creator of The Darrel Show .
I sold 26 years of my life for $3,683.93.
On June 19th, 2008 I made my final sale to a woman working at McDonalds. I wonder what she thought when that box of 'mystery' I sold her for 50¢ turned out to be full of my old photos.
It’s been a year since I decided to do this project, and (as silly as it may sound) I feel like I’ve just come home from a long journey. How do I describe my rite of passage to someone that hasn’t traveled it? I’m still Lloyd, but I feel I’ve permanently altered my values.
I was forced to look at everything I had given importance to: all of my previous accomplishments, experiences, desires, loves and losses. I had to look at everything I worked for and used to care about, and things that reminded me of people I still care about. Then, piece-by-piece, I sacrificed it all in the most inhuman way imaginable-through capitalism.
Personally, this project will forever serve me as a sobering reminder that as long as I’m selfish, and I’m not doing something positive for the people around me, or I’m not having an impact on the world I live in, I will die like a fart in the wind, that no one ever gave a damn about.
Now, the question is: What will I do next? Ride off into the sunset? Maybe I’ll continue to tour my dead friend across the world spreading corpse awareness and preaching the gospel of freedom? All I really know, is that I’m free to do anything.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Every specialty item was given a Certificate of Authenticity like the one below. Specialty items were originally limited to 200 (but at the last minute I decided to add one more just to fuck it up) and included things that generally held a special relevance as a keepsake. Everyone has at least a little shoebox of irreplaceable memories-unique pieces of my life's 'tapestry'-and these are the types of things I'm talking about. I had listed the items on eBay, Amazon, Half.com, and even made a few sales in person.

I want to thank everyone who took notice as I went on this adventure, especially those that partook in my experiment and now have a little piece of my junk in their homes. I hope everyone had fun!
