I am happy when I am totally in the world of creativity, that being photography, poetry, music or even dancing for 24 hours.Along with my creativity making me happy is connecting with people and learning from and teaching others.I love to make top hats, wicked waist jackets and umbrellas out of giant leaves!
In some ways I feel that I will always be very young :) in others I will continue to grow and become even wiser and aware, open :)Feel at home in the forest, love the sun rising, swim far out into the sea, walk far out into the countryside, make friends with cats, likes profound experiences such as the croaky early morning call of a black bird shrouded in the mist... after an all night party, and I believe in folklore and fairytails. I am a member of the south west ghost hunters club! It gives me the creeps! ;) ..and also a local Amnesty Intenational activist group.
I love the smell of new books and the sound which a closing book makes ;)
I am of Persian and English heritage :) and of blue blood!
Recently there have been quite a few challenging things happen to me, and found myself disilusioned enough to feel that the more that i followed my dreams, and the nicer i was to others, the more pain i felt- Then I realised quite the contrary -that as i was going through these bad times - the nicer that i became as a result. Life is all about experiences and after all-every cloud has a silver lining.
. . . Persian father English Mother open soul . . .My intuition means alot to me,and I try and listen to it,and it guides my photography and day to day choices.
Who Likes: photography, writing and reading poetry, making my own clothing, charity fundraising, forests,
nice people! Cornwall, socialising, making connections, noticing the otherwise over-looked...Photo ALCHEMIST.
My work: My photography is a meditation- highly focussing, connceting with the subjecct world, breathing it in and out with the camera, in-- its air,its essence - - then out--redefined,speaking as much of me as itself--a splice,a collaboration.(Obscura Alchemy). The work becomes autobiographical, and the 'worlds' biography-the more one connects during this process, the more individual the work,afterall- every entitity is as unique and as definable as you. - Floating in space, the world of...the forest - the world of the decayed factory murked in the kelvin of the street lights, --- seperated by dark voids, observable like stars in the sky- -precious like a jewel layed out on a black-velvet display.
Theatrical...glamourised...sometimes simplified...recreated...hyper realities, simulated,recontexrualised.
Open minded,self expressive,individual,creative,sensitive,visionary.
Looking forward to leaving England on a photo' adventure.

Maybe one day i will get around to putting some photos up of some more of them? These hats are fun! lol. ;)
About my persian heritage: I'm a descendent of Sepah Salar Khalatbari, Tonekebonee.Who was a very wealthy landowner in northern Iran, born in Tonekabon which is near the Caspian sea. Back then the local "kings" or Khans ruled certain areas of Iran (like fifedoms) and he was the most powerful in Iran and ruled the northern regions. He later became Commander in Chief of the Royal Persian army; however his power was a concern for the shah(king) who saw him as someone who could overthrow him.Sepah Salar was a true blue-blood, and a major concern for the religious leaders who saw his frequent travels to France from where he returned with progressive ideas on democracy), a challenge to their power. He is subsequently stripped of all powers. But the family name and legacy remains. I am apparently from the most noble persian family! with true pedigree and lineage! To this day, there are grand palaces in Iran. One particularly notable one is in "Bagh-e-Ferdows".In Tehran. It is now the national museum of film. "It's a 'magnificent' palace still with 40 ft carved ceilings and views of all of Tehran." This wealth is a million miles away, but on the grand scale of things, there is no denying my wealth of heritage and i am very proud of this. If I could change any thing about this history,I would not change it for myself, ie; to live the life of a billionaire prince (rather than growing up in poverty as a child)...I would only ensure that none of my fathers family had suffered in this way. During the time of the revolution in Iran, my Uncle, Abbas Ali Khalatbari, was stripped of being the Minister for foreign affairs in Iran and was lynched. When I was a few months old,my father returned to Iran(from England)to help his family,he never returned and it is thought within the family that he was a political prisioner. This is all I know! Crazy but true. So, one day, when I am ready I will visit my families village, pallaces and gardens, this will surely be the trip of a lifetime. Partly; I am developing as a photographer, I want to gain more experience elsewhere, both in photographic terms and life, and then i will be able to use this great wealth as a vehicle to aid myself in creating works which are trully brilliant. This is one of my goals.
