Started singing with my college pop/alternative band, DEQADES in 1997. We were so excited about gigs that we played for free almost anywhere. TIA MARIAs in Katipunan was the first venue. Later on, moved to doing acoustic gigs with Fritz Ednacot and several freelance guitarists. At that time, Chin of MYMP was also performing with us at various gigs. The mixed acoustic sets continued till 2005 with different session artists and guitarists. In 2005, DJs Pao Maralit (NBK) and Miko Syquia (Warehouse 135 resident) experimented on live PA vocals during their house music sets at COQUINA. I sang for them..and that was the start of it. DJ/promoter Edge Pamute introduced me to Brian Cua (aka DJ Suntheory) who I have been collaborating with since 2005. Brian wrote DEEP INSIDE U which was the first song we recorded together. It was for Edge's house music compilation cd called EMBASSY MIDNIGHT TO DAYLIGHT. Brian is a great artist, producer, arranger, and a really nice person. It didn't take long for us to work on 2 more songs - HOLD U CLOSE (Local E://! 2006) and SO GOOD TOGETHER (upcoming 2008 dance album). There's a sense of fulfillment in working with such great talents and hearing our songs playing in clubs in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, and even Hong Kong! And knowing that some people appreciate it. I'm definitely an "unknown" name and face..but the songs are slowly getting to reach more people. Right now, I just want to keep on writing songs, improve my singing, and work with different artists to experiment on various genres. There's a lot of work to be done still. The best is yet to come. =)
