SABANDIJAS

SABANDIJAS started in a winter of 2002 when Manuel and Grinch had this horror punk thing going on (due to manuel's obsession With the Misfits) the band was originally gonna be call "Walking Corpses" ( due to manuel's obsession With the Misfits again ) they recorded a demo with all Misfits covers but they lost it, so they were the only ones who know about it. After they needed more people in the band; they got Aldo as the first bass player and Victor as a singer. Non of the other guys were into horror punk, in fact Victor hated the Misfits with all his heart so they decided to just play regular punk.....
The first gig was played in 2003 with Suburban Casualties and other bands like the Dictions. Aldo and Victor left the band for work reasons. So we got the super homie MARIO (satanas) to play. When they started playing with Mario they realized that they were all people with foreing backgrounds so they changed the band's name to BORDER BANDITS and played like that for a long time until Grinch moved to another state (North Dakota!!!!! lol internal joke) jk "Arkansas". During the whole BORDER BANDITS time Manuel met BORIS that was a drummer for a band, and he was really good. He became a friend that used to go with us all the time when we played; and at a point he became the manager of BORDER BANDITS and he recorded us many times in his computer. Boris shared the Obsession with misfits too so Mario and Manuel asked him to be in Border Bandits....
With Boris in drums we played several gigs; more than in all of our entire life as a band so we were happy. Until Mario had to move from state too. After Mario left we decided to quit the band until he called us and told us not to (he got mad) so we got Matt as a bassist, we practiced with him like 3 times. At that point we posted a bulletine on myspace about us needing a second Guitarist. At this point we were still Border Bandits.
Soon after that bulletin was posted, Luis (Luichito) replies to the bulleting. So we tryed him out and he learned the songs in a day so he got the spot. This day we had practice with Disorderly Conduct, so it was fun. And About a month and a half we had our first gig as the new Border Bandits in Baldwin Park with Filth Tribe, The Panty Thieves, Disorderly Conduct and some other bands, That gig got cancelled.
Two weeks role by and we get a gig in La Puente. We played with the Dictions and Oi Kunts, it was a good gig, the only bad part about it was that it was rainning that night. Not soon after we got another gig in El monte with Switch Blade 77, and some other bands.
We started to realize that Border Bandits wasn't the same band as it once was. We got new band members and a new sound to our style. So WE decided to resurrect SABANDIJAS!!!!!!!!!!! woooooooo. Not long after we decided to let go of our bassist Matt. But soon we found ROGELIO from A.H.G (conveniently a guy obssesed with the Misfits) to fill in. So far its been going good and Now we have new songs and we sound lauder; faster; and with more love. We have also a more horror sound; and lyrics. Which came naturally cuz all the band members now have horror background since we listen to old metal And Misfits..........
