I started to mess with DJing in 1996. At that time I launched regular electronic body music parties together with DJ Robertson called Body Factory. Later on I discovered the beauty of real mixed dance beat and I begun to spin vinyl records mostly oriented to freetekno style. Fundamental musical and life style influences at that time came from DIY culture movement and traveling sound systems. The distinct love for quality underground dance beats together with passion for jazz and funk music brought me to the optimal musical style – deep house. In late 90s I initiated foundation of a free musical formation called SilverBall sound system. This group of DJs (Doc Mole, John Deer, Fullharmoniq) pumped out heavy deep house beats through the high quality speakers and their playings were frequently accompanied by live performances of several musicians collected from different Prague’s jazz bands. This unique crew hosted also some of today’s most appreciated singers as Lenia (Yellow Sisters) and Marketa Foukalova (Madfinger, Lanugo). In 2000 I moved to Gothenburg in Sweden and by an incredible chance I met a bunch of wonderful people with almost identical musical taste. Our hearts were beating in the same rhythm and connected minds led to a spontaneous foundation of Locus sound system. This independent and mobile unit equipped with massive loudspeakers gained quickly a loft position in the Scandinavian underground dance scene. Apart of playing in several clubs allover the Europe, Locus arranged many unforgettable outdoor freeparties in the lovely Nordic nature. The Locus crew also participated in other DIY festivals including Futuredrom, Berlin Midsommar and Czechtek. Regular Locus night, which is taking place at club Pustervik, acquired reputation of always crowded event with very special combination of heavy base beats and glamorous visual experience. During all those years behind the decks I met a lot of great people who influenced me with their sense for music and harmony regardless their fame and name: Mattias Larrieu, Kristo, Dano, Doma, Rui, Lawa, Benito, Chris Quadrant, Large, Lumiere, Paradisco crew, Groof, Da Sunlounge, Torkel Forsberg, Robert Leiner, Lucas Hulan, Kel Quadrant, M&gors crew, Dave Brooks, Sunshine People crew, Martinez, Club 106 crew, Fredrik Stark, Maria E, RA crew, Shiroko, Smokescreen, Hird, The Littlemen, Rugkutta crew......
At this time I’m settled back in Prague – at least for a while. I participate in organizing of cultural events dedicated to Nordic music and art. And of course..... I launched a regular deep house night named Jelly Moon in a cozy club Bukanyr right in the heart of this beautiful city.
