Photography By April

Visit my photo blogI received my first camera at the tender age of ten. I still remember the excitement I felt waiting for my film to get developed while crossing my fingers that I took a picture of someone that they would like. Even though I have became much more confident with time and practice, that feeling would stay with me forever. I began college with the intent of becoming an elementary school teacher. Somehow I was side tracked along the way and took every photography class I could find. I couldn't focus on any other subject but photography. My first photography job was working for a corporate photography studio and doing weddings on the side. I was finding my work gratifying, but not too adventurous. I learned as much as I could and moved on to a privately owned portrait studio where I worked for four years as a studio and location photographer.
