About Me

I've been a guitar-playin' FOLKSINGER since I was 12, and have gradually branched out to Americana--folk,country, pop--sometimes I'm accompanied by bass, lead guitar, fiddle, and/or mandolin. Reared in south Louisiana, I taught school in Houston for over 25 years, took early retirement from my daytime job, and started my little music business and began performing in Houston, Durham, North Carolina, Baltimore, and LA in clubs, at open mics, and at private parties for all ages. I teach KIDS' guitar---yes, even 4-yr-olds! I've a repertoire for ALL age groups, beginning with very young kids, HOUSE CONCERTS, CLUBS, and also including programs for the elderly. Americana, original and traditional FOLK music, "Listening-room" style music; some dance tunes as well as FRENCH and some SPANISH songs. EASY listening, toe-tapping, and I encourage audiences to sing along or provide harmonies!!! I know how to match a set list with my audience! It's ALWAYS fun to see waitstaff dancing in the kitchen doorway!!
